September 13, the day we've all been waiting for! It's the day the third album of Billy Crawford "Big City" (V2 Music) wil be released.
It took some time till be finished the album, but Billy knows that he did the right thing. "This is my first album as an adult & it's my first baby, It might have taken some time for me to finish it, but I really think you guys are going to love it. Just because there's some dirty stuff on it, you really don't need to be afraid!", he explaied to the press.
The sound of Big City is mainly urban, some tracks can be compared to Usher & Tyrese's songs, but you can definatly hear Billy's own sound added to it. "This album inspired me by the many trips I've made lately, to promote Ride, the movie and all that stuff. That's why I called it Big City. Just because every city has a different sound, a different look, a different feeling".
Bright Lights, the very first single, was produced by Redzone, the latino-hiphop song Steamy Night, to the clubby rhythmic song "Oh Dear", "Magazine" or another song Billy co-wrote "Candy Store", his favourite song on the album, like "Jump Off", in homage to Michael Jackson, the fans will figure it out soon or later: Billy has grown up.
"I've been through a lot lately, I don't really wanna get into details but there's been a lot on my mind. My grandma recently past away and there's ballad dedicated to her on the album. It's the only slow song actually.. A lot of stuff happend the past few years & you can hear that on the album. I have definatly improved, in my own opinion."
The next big thing is going to be the tour. "Im so excited", Billy tells. This is the first time I get to be on stage for like.. 1 hour and just show the people what I've got expect for doing 1 song & leaving to another tv-show and perform the same song over and over again. I'm really looking forward to it", he told us. The tour will start in september, so get tickets if you haven't got them yet!
